Planning

Alexander Homestead is located in Charlotte NC Our address is 4717 Shamrock Drive, Charlote NC 28215.

We can comfortably host up to 215 guests for your garden ceremony and party, including complimentary parking and seated meals inside the barn reception space.

On Friday, the guest minimum is 85; on Saturday evening, it is 120. If you envision a more intimate celebration, we offer a Thursday evening or Saturday morning brunch or Sunday evening of 50 guests.

Venue searching can be overwhelming, but we believe that this relationship should begin with transparency and authenticity. Please download the pricing guide, contact Nicole via text or email, and let us know when you’re ready to schedule your in-person or virtual tour/proposal review. This should be a fun and easy process and it can be with Alexander Homestead!

Yes! We have a strategic, virtual plan in place to make planning easy and fun for out-of-town clients. This has become common and our expert team has a natural flow whether you’re here in town or not. Our many couples planning remotely do enjoy scheduling fun appts. like cake tasting and final meetings, when they’re here in town, but not necessary.

Drinks & Catering

Alexander Homestead is proud to partner with a private gourmet chef to bring an exceptional food service experience to you and your guests! This service is required. We offer a variety of delicious menu entrees, salads, and appetizers, all with your choice of service style. One complimentary food tasting is offered to all contracted clients.

Not at all. We offer a full menu with your choice of buffet or plated service styles at the same price. We would be happy to discuss your detailed preferences at your tour.

It is important to us that each guest enjoys a delicious meal. Our coordinators and banquet managers are knowledgeable about ingredients and can guide you in selecting a menu best for your wedding. Our menu offers vegan and vegetarian entrees. We may also order plates with special consideration such as gluten-free, kids meals, etc.

The short answer is that we offer beer & wine for your safety. If that’s not a dealbreaker, keep reading :)

One of the best services we offer clients is our custom all-inclusive bar packages. The service includes bartenders, unlimited beer and wine, and a variety of personalized experiences such as a signature drink, or spritzer. You are able to customize your alcohol menu, without the hassle of determining how much to purchase to supply your guests an open bar. Our packages offer competitive pricing.

Venue

Absolutely! At no additional charge, your AH coordinator will design a custom layout and plan with you in advance. This is for your peace of mind and allows for much flexibility in when that decision has to be made. With that strategic plan in place, your coordinator is able to incorporate your décor into one of two temperature-controlled indoor barn spaces while maintaining the most comfortable experience for guests. Please know that our priority is for you to get married in our beautiful gardens.

Of course! We have easily accessible indoor facilities that are spacious and mimic the same rustic but modern style that you were immediately attracted to.

Yes! We just ask that you designate someone to care for your fur baby up until the ceremony and then transport them safely home immediately following.

Our beautiful barn, a completely modern event space, is temperature-controlled. We ensure that you and your guests are comfortable.

Our weddings and events offer ample on-site complimentary parking for all guests with attendants.

Our property is accessible for shuttles/transportation. As we are in the city of Charlotte, Lyft/Uber are most often the most convenient and most cost-effective options for couples and their guests.

Yes! We have an all-day rental option if you dream of getting your hair and make-up done in your bridal suite.

No need, Alexander Homestead’s all-inclusive structure has proven successful with couples. We’ve created an experience that allows you to enjoy this wedding planning process.

By choosing Alexander Homestead, you let us manage everything that day. Our couples and their families never have to manage vendors, keep time, set up or clean up.

We have decorative seating chart sign, easels, enclosed candles to finish off your guest table décor, table numbers and welcome and ceremony signs. You are more than welcome to reserve these with your day-of coordinator.

Miscellaneous

We offer intimate weddings on Thursday evenings from 6-10pm and on Saturday mornings (brunch) from 11am-3pm.

At this time, we do not offer an option for less than 50 guests.

At this time, we do not offer ceremony-only events. Alexander Homestead is an all-inclusive venue.

Yes. For couples getting married in a church, we can host your garden party and reception.

We are an all-inclusive venue that has the expertise and reputation of producing seamless weddings within days notice! Couples can book UP TO 2 years in advance, though with our team managing most things the average is 9-12 months out.
