We held our reception at the AH banquet hall in November and it was a fabulous experience! Danielle and the whole staff made everything stress free; we did not worry about a single thing! We were able to focus on the party and celebrating our big day and our guests loved the atmosphere!

My wedding was seamless because of Alexander Homestead! The venue was beautiful and the team perfectly crafted our vision. Our coordinator Carolann was fantastic! We highly recommend having your wedding here! Not only was the space beautiful, but everyone who worked there is helpful and kind during such an important time! The venue is rustic and elegant which is exactly the mix we wanted. The outdoor space is gorgeous!! We even had our wedding in December and it was still perfect for pictures! They have tons of vendors they recommend that were also professional and did a phenomenal job! Alexander Homestead made our day magical and stress-free!

As soon as my husband and I got engaged, we were immediately faced with this question, “Have you picked a date?!” It was exciting, but stressful to pick a wedding venue and choose a wedding date. AS SOON AS we toured the Alexander Homestead (with Nicole) we could instantly see ourselves getting married there. We were impressed with EVERY vendor! It was chilling – the thought of getting married on a historic property in a garden with a string quartet was a dream come true! From the start, their communication with me was personal and professional – a big thank you to Carolann for curbing my worries and holding my hand every step of the way! To secure this venue in our timeframe, we got married on a Monday evening in October 2022, and that turned out to be the best decision ever! By getting married on a Monday, it increased our vendor availability and made it more cost-effective. This also gave all our guests (98) time to come in the weekend prior. We held a welcome party on Saturday (at Optimist Hall) followed by a brewery night (at 4001 Yancey) that evening. On Sunday, we had our rehearsal in the afternoon at the AH and brought all our décor. Carolann walked us through the rehearsal so we would all know what to expect and where to go during the wedding ceremony. Sunday evening, we had our rehearsal dinner (at Rooster’s South Park) and a private rooftop soiree (at Le Meridien) Sunday night! By the time it came to our wedding day – I had already visited with most of my guests and could focus on marrying my best friend and enjoying our wedding day the AH team worked so hard to put together for us both! We chose to have a live quartet (Musically Yours – recommended by the HA team) during our ceremony and garden party which created the ultimate romantic garden vibe I wanted. Randall and Jayne Sprinkle (Musically Yours) worked with Scott and me to pick music that was meaningful to us – hearing them play during our wedding was just SO special to me! After our wedding ceremony, Scott and I joined our photographer in the reception barn so we could have our first moments as husband and wife together, take a breath, have a snack, and see our wedding cake and table decorations before our guests filled the room. There is NO bad place to take a photo at this venue and our photographer (Haylie Noelle Photography) and videographer (Shamus Coneys) captured all the beautiful details of the Alexander Homestead in our wedding photos/videos. We were recommended to use their DJ (“All The Right Grooves”) and we are SO glad we did!! The AH venue had everything important to us, and the AH team was able to bring our wedding day vision to life! Carolann was the best wedding day coordinator I could have asked for – she was always within eye gaze and made sure every transition and part of the wedding went smoothly. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect, and I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL to every hand and heart that went into making our wedding day perfect for the two of us.
